Area man orders most complicated Starbucks drink ever

By Rogier Kievit

A local Starbucks was brought to a halt recently when a mysterious visitor placed what officials consider to be the most complicated drink order ever made. ‘He just stood there…. looked at our menu… and then just ordered it…. Just like that….’. A shell-shocked manger reported. ‘It took over a minute to complete his order, and when he finished one of our barista’s actually fainted’. Although Starbucks refuses to spell out the complete recipe for fear of copycat orders, a spokesman did confirm several of the elements in the caffeine-bonanza. Along with several unnamed additions, the drink contained low-fat soymilk, three types of Arabica coffee, one shot of decaf robusta coffee, Indonesian cinnamon dusting, ice cubes made from polar ice caps, double whipped cream, grated dark and white chocolate, a carbon-neutral straw, imported Chinese ginger syrup and foam sculpted to resemble the state of Oklahoma. ‘I’ve never seen anything like it. We needed three barista’s and one supervisor just to stylize the foam.’

The end product, containing 1143 calories, costing $16.45 and weighing in at just under half a gallon was carried out in a wheelbarrow by the as yet unnamed patron, who has already reached cult-status amongst regular Starbucks visitors.
